Stormlight Over the High Alpine Valleys from Breslauer Hut | From the Breslauer Hut at around 2,900 meters, I looked out across the high alpine valleys and felt the scale of the journey ahead of me. The first thunderstorms had already started building from the direction of Italy, while the setting sun in the west broke through gaps in the clouds and painted the mountains with warm, dramatic light. Below me, the valleys seemed to reveal the route I would follow over the coming days, leading deeper into the Austrian Alps. On the horizon, I could see the Gravwand — a distant ridge that I would cross a few days later — and in that moment the hike felt both vast and deeply personal. - Realized with Pictrs.com
